This page explains what personal information DeepMind Counselling collects, why it is collected, and how it is kept confidential.
Information we collect
This website does not have user accounts, online payments or contact forms. Information reaches us only when you choose to contact the practice, by phone, WhatsApp or email. That usually includes your name, contact number or email address, and a brief description of the concern you would like support with.
If you go on to attend a session, clinical notes and any assessment records are created and held as part of your case file.
How your information is used
Your details are used solely to respond to your enquiry, schedule appointments, provide counselling or assessment services, and maintain continuity of care between sessions. Your information is never sold, rented or used for advertising.
Confidentiality
What you share in a session stays between you and your psychologist. Information is disclosed to a third party only with your consent, or in the rare situation where there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else's, or where disclosure is required by law.
Where a child or adolescent is seen, relevant information may be shared with parents or guardians, and with a school only when you have agreed to that collaboration.
Storage and retention
Enquiry messages and clinical records are stored securely and access is limited to the practice. Records are retained only for as long as needed to provide continuity of care and to meet professional record-keeping obligations, and are then securely disposed of.
Third-party services
This site embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find the clinic, and links out to WhatsApp for messaging. When you use those features, the respective provider's own privacy policy applies to that interaction.
Your choices
You may ask what information is held about you, request a correction, or ask that your details be deleted where there is no professional obligation to retain them. You can also ask to stop receiving appointment messages at any time.
